The CellReg SVF cell therapy

Bildschirmfoto-2016-09-12-um-09.26.33-1024x576.png

CellReg SVF (Stroma Vascular Fraction) uses the body's own stem cells that have not been multiplied in the laboratory. These have several advantages over donor cells, which are multiplied in the laboratory. We use these whenever possible. Systemic administration/infusion of SVF is currently not possible. However, this is possible in the laboratory in Dubai. Here, your own cells are multiplied and purified in the laboratory.

Fat cells: A safe resource for stem cells

Fat cells have a high concentration of stem cells and are easy, safe and gentle to obtain. In over 2000 patients with stem cell therapy and a follow-up of 10 years, there was no increase in the cancer rate in this population - in fact, there was a trend towards a lower rate than in the normal population.

SVF & ACP

SVF is a regenerative therapy used to treat pain and injuries to the musculoskeletal system. These treatments use the body's own substances to promote the body's natural healing process.

Injection & Infusion

The local injection/application of the stem cells results in a high concentration and effect at the site. Systemic administration /infusion utilizes the "homing" effect and can act simultaneously at many sites. Both forms of application can support each other.

Side effects

To date, no significant side effects have been reported with "Stromal Vascular Fraction" therapy or "Autologous Conditioned Plasma" therapy. Local pain lasting up to 3 days may occur

Erfolgsquote

The CellReg success rate

The success rate of cell therapy is highly dependent on the initial situation of the tissue and personal expectations of the result. Ultimately, this can only be clarified in a direct discussion with the doctor and after reviewing the available findings.

The treatment of knee osteoarthritis serves as an example, as this is where the international study situation is best.

Our own results and those of internationally comparable studies show that in approx. 80% of treated patients there is a scientifically significant improvement in the pain situation and mobility approx. 4 weeks to 6 months after treatment. The effect lasts for 2-5 years, depending on the initial situation and the quality of the donor cells. A repeat treatment is possible at any time.

Fat gain

The fat is removed via a 3mm needle puncture. Up to 120 ml of abdominal or hip fat is removed, preferably under local anesthesia. This is then processed in special production steps without additives and the stem cells are extracted. The process takes around 45 minutes. The stem cell concentrate is also injected into the surrounding fat of the affected region under local anesthesia. All procedures are largely painless and can also be performed under general or partial anesthesia or as part of a necessary operation if desired.

Outpatient treatment

The treatment is performed under local anesthesia and on an outpatient basis, provided no further surgical measures are required. The compression bandage on the donor site can be removed after 2 days. There may be a slightly painful swelling for up to a week. However, you can resume full weight bearing immediately. Sport should be avoided for 1 week.

Any absence from work is highly dependent on your activity. You can resume office work, for example, the next day.

Kosten

Costs

The costs depend on the number of cells required and the amount of work involved. Approximately 30 million cells are required for a large joint/region. The more cells required, the higher the costs. The minimum quantity of cells is dimensioned for a large joint due to the manufacturing process. Examples of common applications & associated costs:

Germany

Schulter

One region

e.g. knee, hip,
shoulder, sacroiliac joint

€ 3.300,-

Multiple small joints

e.g. fingers, toes, spine

€ 3.300,-

Vernarbtes Bein

Two major regions

e.g. both knees

€ 5.400,-

* Estimated costs for a GOÄ invoice increased 3.5 times. In Germany, the costs are billed via the GOÄ with partly analog numbers.

Dubai

Schulter

One region

e.g. knee, hip,
shoulder, sacroiliac joint

€ 6.200,-

Several small joints

e.g. fingers, toes, spine

€ 6.200,-

Vernarbtes Bein

Two major regions

e.g. both knees

€ 9.900,-

Schulter

Cell bank extraction for multiple use

Per dispensed unit with application

+

only fat extraction and storage
after storage (see left)
for a large joint

€ 10.000,-

€ 3.800,-

Does the health insurance company cover the costs?

A GOÄ invoice will be provided. Private health insurance companies sometimes cover the costs in full or in part. However, statutory health insurance companies often do not cover these costs.

You will receive an invoice in accordance with the GOÄ billing codes. As SVF therapy is a new therapy and not provided for in the code catalog (not renewed since 1995), the codes are analogous and sometimes increased up to 3.5 times to cover the costs. Patients with statutory health insurance must assume that the costs will only be partially covered in individual cases. Privately insured patients should submit the above-mentioned invoice. In many cases, this will be covered at least in part.

Infusion of own stem cells after multiplication in the laboratory in Dubai

Due to the extremely complicated approval process, the infusion of stem cells is not permitted or not available. There is a license for this in Dubai. The production of the cells meets the highest manufacturing standards and intravenous administration is possible there. The cooperation partners here are the German Medical Center and Medcare Orthopedic and Spine Hospital. Both are premium healthcare providers.
